Department Overview and Operations

The Fire Department is a combination organization contracted to provide Fire and EMS services to the citizens of Lake Township. Under the direction of a Board of Directors, and Fire Chief Tom Wiles, our mission as a Fire Department is to provide the highest quality of fire, rescue, and EMS services to our residents and surrounding areas when called upon. Our main response area is approximately 7 square miles with a population of approximately 9,000 people, and an ISO rating of class 5. Our Department vehicles consist of 1 Engine, 1 Rescue/Engine, 1 Tender/Engine, 3 ALS Ambulances, 1 ALS Chase Vehicle, and 1 Supervisor/Command Vehicle. We average approximately 800 calls a year to provide emergency medical services, fire suppressions, investigations, rescues, hazardous materials emergencies, and public assistance.  Some of our activities outside of daily response duties  include fire prevention, fire safety, blood pressure checks, pre-planning, car seat installation, and CPR classes.  Our single fire station is located at 13055 Oakwood Ave NW Uniontown, Ohio 44685 and is staffed 24 hours a day.
